The Tafo sub-traditional council is funding the construction of a three-storey community centre from stool lands revenue, as part of its push to improve the social lives of the people.

Sitting on a large stretch of land covering about nine building plots, it has conference and bedrooms rooms, offices, information communication technology (ICT) centre, funeral parlour, craft centre, car park and washrooms.

Nana Agyen Frimpong the second, Tafohene, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during an inspection tour of the project that it could rival the National Theatre in Accra on completion.

Construction work on it started about 30 months ago, and is steadily progressing.

He said they were determined to see through its early completion to promote social activities in the community.

Nana Frimpong urged the people to identify with the project, and contribute towards its implementation.
