Mr Williams Abotzabire, the Principal of the Community Health Nurse Training School at Tanoso, has expressed worry over inadequate infrastructure in the school.
He said the School, with a population of about 391, urgently needed staff quarters and dormitories for male and female students.
Mr Abotzabire told the GNA in an interview that poor infrastructure was hindering effecting teaching and learning and appealed to the government and non-governmental organizations to come to their aid.
He said inadequate classrooms had reduced the number of students who are admitted yearly and that almost all the tutors in the school stayed outside campus and private hostels had been rented for many of the students.
Mr Abotzabire said because of the situation indiscipline was very high among tutors and students, adding that despite these problems academic performance had improved.
He said the school would soon award diploma certificate and appealed to the government to support it with adequate teaching and learning materials.
Mr Abotzabire expressed concern about delay in payment of allowances for students and appealed to the government to do something about it.
He said because some of the final year students had not received their allowances they could not undertake their practicals.
