A total of six hundred and ten desks made up of four hundred and fifty (450) mono desks and one hundred and sixty (160) dual desks have been handed over to the Fanteakwa District Directorate of Education.
Having identified that the cause of decline in educational standard is multi faceted, the assembly is doing all it can to tackle the various challenges to ensure smooth and conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The desks will be distributed to selected schools in the district with emphasis on those schools that have serious challenges with furniture.
The education sector remains one of the sectors that most assemblies are laying a lot of emphasis to transform the economy of the districts since it dealth with human resource development. It always receives priority and great chunk of investment.
While the assembly is improving furniture at the schools it is also putting in place measures to increase infrastructure to accommodate the increasing student population and reduce overcrowding in some areas.
