Abass Fuseini Sbaabe, is one of the fortunate District Chief Executives to have been retained by the president after serving their first term of four years from 2009 to date.

A list signed by the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development contained 16 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) who have been reappointed for consideration for approval to serve a second term.

The huddle most of the MMDCE appointees are confronted with has to do with outright rejection by the assembly members with violent reactions being recorded in few cases.
