Transportation worries of residents of Ayensu Village in the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region have been mitigated following construction of a steel bridge to link the community to other areas.

The new steel bridge replaced the old footbridge which connected the village to other communities. Now vehicles are able to ply that stretch of the road all the way to the village.

To the residents this is good news since carting their farm produce from the village to other market centers is no longer a problem, and they are confident this will surely impact positively on their lives considering the fact that they can now send their produce to markets where they can sell for better profits.

District Chief Executive for the Fanteakwa District, Mr. Abass Fuseini Sbaabe said this is just one example of the story of the better Ghana the government is championing to improve the lives of all including those in rural communities.
