The Twifo Himan Lower Denkyira District assembly has distributed 1,000 dual desks to some selected basic schools as part of improving educational infrastructure in the area.

The District Chief Executive, Mr. Francis Kofi Korankyi-Sakyi who made this known this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said most of the beneficiary schools were short in supply of desk to boost teaching and learning and thus the need to provide them with adequate desks to augment the existing once.

According to him, the assembly has taken full responsibility of providing adequate furniture various schools to mitigate the tendency of pupils carrying their own furniture to and from school daily because they could not get any at the school.

He insisted that the assembly was working around the clock to ensure infrastructural development as far as education in the area is concern.

Mr. Korankyi-Sakyi also noted that the initiative was financed through the District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF).
