The Kintampo North Municipal Assembly voted to endorse Mr Justice Michael Baffoe, a professional banker, as the new Chief Executive for the asembly.

In a victory speech, Hon. Baffoe, who is also a government appointee in the Assembly said  he recognised that all assembly members voted en masse to confirm him as Chief Executive, and therefore, called on everyone, to support him  to advance the cause of the “Better Ghana Agenda” in the first term of His Excellency John Daramani Mahama.

Nana Amoagyare Baffoe II, who stood in for the Nkoranzahene, appealed to the Assembly men and women to cooperate with the new MCE to solve the many problems facing the area.

Nana Baffoe II, who is also the Gyaasehene of Nkoranza, advised the new MCE to live above reproach, eschewing tribalism if he is to succeed.

The Regional Minister, Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, who could not avail himself for the programme because of other equally important engagements, was represented by his deputy, Mr Justice Adjei.

Addressing the house, Mr Adjei underscored the importance of endorsing the President’s choice of the chief executive now to bring an end to the several development challenges in the municipal.  He, therefore, appealed to the Assembly members to keep their heads and work together for the sake of development.
