Mr. Michael Justice Baffoe has been appointed by President John Mahama as the new Chief Executive for the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region to spearhead the development agenda of the government.

Mr. Baffoe takes over from Mr. Alhassan Seidu Harrison, whose mandate as an MCE was not renewed which directly makes him the former MCE of the area.

As Per the Constitution of Ghana, Mr. Baffoe is expected to be endorsed by Assembly members in the area.

His nomination was contained in a recent press release from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

In terms of location and size, the Municipal is strategically located at the centre of Ghana and serves as a transit point between the northern and southern sectors of the country. It is however expected that the newly nominated MCE when finally endorsed by Assembly members could use the strengths of the area to pull more resources for the Assembly.
