KPANDO:Vakpo SHTS gets Old Students Association
Mr Andy Seke, Kpando Municipal Director of Education has called on old students’ associations to operate within the rules and regulations of Ghana Education Service, in their quest to help develop their alma mater.

Mr Andy Seke, Kpando Municipal Director of Education has called on old students’ associations to operate within the rules and regulations of Ghana Education Service, in their quest to help develop their alma mater.
He said: “As old students, you must not see yourselves as rivalry group whose demands must be obeyed at all costs but rather a collaborative force that would solidly support the school authorities in order to provide the necessary leadership and guidance for your past institutions.”
Mr Seke was speaking during the inauguration of the. Old Students Association (VASTOSA) of Vakpo Senior High Technical School and the swearing in of the Executives at Vakpo in the Volta Region.
The Executives whose tenure expires after four years include; Mr David Afenyo, President, Samuel Justice Adoboe, Vice President, Kosipa J.K Samuel Secretary, Fudoglo Magdalene Vice Secretary and Kudzonu Annie, Treasurer.
Mr Theodore Damankah occupies the position of Financial Secretary, Wisdom Semekor, Organising Secretary and Mr Kalley Forster, Vice Organising Secretary.
Mr Wisdom Dei is VASTOSA representative in Volta Region and Mr Fiame Charles for Greater Accra Region.
Mr Seke appealed to the newly sworn in executives to look for donors and other sources of funding in order to execute developmental projects on campus.
Mr John Kojo Teku, North Dayi Acting Director of Education called on the old students to see the association as an umbrella body and a strong stakeholder that would contribute its quota to the betterment of the school.
He advised them to remain worthy role models for the students while providing scholarship schemes for the deserving ones.
Mr Afenyo pledged his administration’s commitment to make the school, a leading educational entity in the country.
“I promise on behalf of the Executives that we will leave indelible marks for posterity to see, “he added.
Togbe Awuro V, Chief of Vakpo Todzi, a Board Member and a former teacher of the school congratulated the executives on their election and advised them to deliver on their promises “by taking a step at a time”.
The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Patricia Akpene Tegbe-Agbo, Board Chairperson, other Board Members, Mr M.S. Ada-Adziman, Headmaster of the School and Colonel Nathaniel K. Kpikpitse, (Rtd) an Opinion Leader.
