Chief Executive of the Kpando Municipal Assembly, Francis Ganyaglo has commended the Education Ministry for their intervention in improving furniture situation in schools in the municipality.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, Mr Ganyaglo disclosed that the ministry has assisted both basic and senior high schools with about 3,000 pieces of furniture. These include 1,600 mono desks, 800 dual desks and 125 desks each for Bishop Hemang, Anforga and Kpando Senior High Schools.

Additionally, the Member of Parliament for the area, Akua Sena Danso through her share of the MP’s Common fund also provided 400 dual desks.

The intervention, he noted contributed very positively to improving teaching and learning in schools because the stress of people converying their tables and chaires to and from school everday has been removed.

All schools both existing and newly constructed classroomblocks benefited from the new furniture.
