The Bosomtwe District Assembly has congratulated Ms Georgina Opoku-Amankwah on her appointment as Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC).

The Bosomtwe District Assembly has congratulated Ms Georgina Opoku-Amankwah on her appointment as Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC).

She has been a member of the Assembly for the past five years.

At its ordinary meeting held at Kokoado, the members hailed her appointment, describing it as honour to the district.

The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Edward Nti-Berko, urged her to continue to work hard and with dedication in her new position.

Responding, Ms Opoku-Amankwah thanked the Assembly and pledged to continue to serve her country with passion and integrity.

She asked for their continuous support and prayers to deliver on the mandate of managing the electoral process in a transparent, free, fair and credible manner to grow the country’s democracy.

Ms Opoku-Amankwah, until her appointment, was a deputy director at the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).
