All the fourteen government appointees to the Assin North Municipal Assembly have been removed. Their removal is in accordance with Section 9(6) of the Local Government Act, Act 462.

A statement signed by the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Akwasi Opong-Fosu, said President Mahama has appointed fourteen new persons to the assembly as government appointees.

They include, Musah Fuseini, Kofi Nii Ocansey, Nana Afranse, Osmanu Ibrahim, Agartha Yawson, Andrews Kwaning, Asumang Nkansah, Martin Addo, Joseph Kofi Tawiah, James Amoah-Kuttin, Nana Kwaantwi Kumah, Acquarius Odam Manarh, Seidu Adams, and Mercy Obeng.
