ASSIN NORTH:Assembly makes gains in revenue mobilization

In a bid to relentlessly pursue development in the Municipality the Assin North Municipal Assembly, has prepared composite budget waiting for approval from the Ministry for local Government and Rural Development and the Finance and Economic Planning.
The assembly has also received an amount totaling Sixty - Three Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixty-Five Ghana Cedis, Forty-Two Pesewas (GH¢63,965.42) as the third quarter financial allocation to undertake development in the Municipality.
This was contained in an address delivered by the Municipal Chief Executive MCE of the Assin North Assembly Hon Alex D. Antwi-Boasiako at the second ordinary meeting of the assembly at Assin Fosu.
As sound practices is the backbone of all successful economies, the Municipality has step up her revenue mobilization drive, raking in about 70.35% of the estimated budgeted revenue, the MCE noted.
According to him, the assembly is considering the procuring of a tipper truck from the sales of a grader to aid in some road projects in the Municipality. It would also be given out on rental bases to rake in revenue for his outfit he added.
Hon. Antwi Boasiako hinted that the Municipality has not been left out of the nationwide campaign against malaria. In this regard, households within the Municipality are to benefit from the distribution of free treated insecticide nets to sustain the campaign.
