FANTEAKWA: Former Minister yearns to improve ICT learning in Begoro SHS

The former minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has presented about 15 brand new laptop computers to the Begoro Presbyterian Senior High School in the Fanteakwa District.

The former minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has presented about 15 brand new laptop computers to the Begoro Presbyterian Senior High School in the Fanteakwa District.

Presenting the laptops to the school, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo noted that the world had entered into an era of technology and was currently moving on the wheels of Information Communication Technology (ICT).

According to him ten of the laptops would be kept in the school’s computer laboratory while the remaining five would be given to teachers aimed at enhancing teaching and learning of ICT in the school.

Hon. Ofosu-Ampofo further vowed to continuously support the school until it becomes one of the first class schools in the country but also charged students to work hard, instill disciplined and eschew all negative behaviours since they are the future leaders of the country.

Meanwhile, through his special interventions, the school has also benefited from government education projects, which included 20-unit and 22-unit two storey boys and girls dormitories respectively.
           
Receiving the laptops headmistress of the school, Mrs Selina A. Danso expressed appreciation to the minister for the gesture and his immense support to the school over the past years.
