The health assistant training and midwifery school at Dunkwa stands as one of the major beneficiaries of investment by the municipal assembly to improve educational infrastructure in the municipality.
The assembly since assuming office has made interventions in a number of infrastructure in the school. Among them include the rehabilitation of hostel facilities, rehabilitation of the school’s demonstration block and lecture halls.
Peter Kofi Owusu-Ashia Jnr, Municipal Chief Executive in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com indicated that the presence of the health training school in the municipality is a blessing because services of such professionals are most needed in the villages to help improve quality health delivery.
He said at least natives would have the advantage of being educated at the institutions to fill the vacancies in areas where they are most needed. It is for this reason that the assembly did not hesitate in pumping funds to give a new face to existing facilities is the school.
According to him, the health of citizens of every country is very important if the country wants to develop and his outfit having known this is committed to making the necessary interventions in the health sector to ensure quality health care.
