Transportation of farm produce and general movement of goods and services along the Kambouwuli-Mathiaskope areas in the Nkwanta North District is being given a boost with commencement of construction work on the Kambouwuli-Mathiaskope feeder road.
The road which is a virgin road according to the District Chief Executive, Paul Levin Gyato would see bridges, culverts and gutters constructed to improve erosion along the road thereby protecting it from being washed away.
The DCE noted that the area is a farming community which requires good motorable road to enhance carting of farm produce to market centres where a lot more people converge to patronize them. With this, the farmers are also assured better returns on their produce as market prices are usually better than farm-gate prices.
Mr. Gyato also disclosed that the Ghana Social Opportunities Project, GSOP is also assisting the assembly to carry out spot improvement on the Tinjase Nabu feeder road.
This project is yet to begin but the DCE said a number of individual would benefit from it since the programme depended on workforce from the various communities to execute its projects.
