Residents of Beposo East, an Electoral area in the Sekyere Central District in the Ashanti Region have complained about poor water situation in the area.

According to them, drinkable water is very difficult to come by in the locality.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com concerning this issue, the Assemblyman for the area, Francis Opoku observed that the only source of water in the area was a mobile water tanker,adding that the facility is not even reliable at certain times.

He said residents who patronize the water tanker pay a fee of GHp20 – GHp25 each for a 25-liter gallon of water.

The Assemblyman further disclosed that although, some feasibility studies had been done in the area for the drilling of boreholes, it was yet to be commencenced, praying the assembly to expedite works on the project.

Mr. Opoku was however grateful to the government for rehabilitating the only nurses’ quarters for the area noting that it will go along way to motivate health workers to put up their best.
