The Berekum Divisional Police Command in the Brong Ahafo Region is hunting for the arrest of the run-away Assemblyman for the Nyamebekyere Electoral Area, Koo Kum, for allegedly brutalizing a public toilet operator in the area.

Koo Kum was reported to have stormed a public lavatory around the Berekum Golden City Park last Tuesday and ransacked everything on site, and in the process attacked the manager of the facility.

The victim, Michael Adjei was hospitalized at the Berekum Family Hospital after suffering the ordeal.

Eyewitness report said the assemblyman who was acting on the orders and was believed to have been under the influence of hard liquor.

Residents told Daily Guide that the the action of the assemblyman on that fateful day was "very strange" as he has been known in the community as a ’fine’ gentleman,

Police sources say efforts are being made to smoke out Koo Kum from his hideout.
