The ceremony, held with the support and presence of the distinguished Adontenhene, His Royal Majesty Otubuor Gyan Kwesi II, the Nsawamhene, the Dobrohene, and other revered traditional leaders of the municipality, marks the commencement of a landmark project aimed at transforming the local economy and enhancing commercial activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Fummey described the project as a significant milestone in the municipality's development agenda, noting that it represents not only the fulfilment of a campaign promise but also a strategic investment in economic growth and job creation under Ghana's 24-Hour Economy initiative.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive, the modern market complex will include trading stores, a police post, a fire service post, a crèche, a restaurant, a resting centre, a bus terminal, a clinic, a pharmacy, and other essential facilities designed to provide traders and patrons with a safe, secure, and conducive business environment.

The project is expected to be completed within the next 24 months. Upon completion, it will boost local commerce, promote entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities, and strengthen Nsawam Adoagyiri's position as one of Ghana's key commercial gateways.

Hon. Fummey expressed profound appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama, as well as the various government ministries and agencies whose support made the project possible. He also acknowledged the invaluable role played by His Royal Majesty Otubuor Gyan Kwesi II, the Adontenhene, the Dobrohene, and the traditional leaders of the municipality for their guidance and unwavering support throughout the planning process.

Addressing traders and residents, the Municipal Chief Executive urged them to embrace and safeguard the project, emphasizing that the market is being developed to support local businesses, improve livelihoods, and create sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri.

The 24-Hour Economy Market is expected to become a major commercial hub that aligns with the government's broader vision of promoting continuous economic activity, attracting investment, and accelerating socio-economic development across the country.
