Akuapim South Municipal Assembly Elects Hon. Isaac Osae Amoah as Presiding Member

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly has successfully elected Hon. Isaac Osae Amoah as its new Presiding Member, bringing to an end three unsuccessful attempts to fill the position.

The election marks a significant milestone in the Assembly's governance process and paves the way for the effective conduct of Assembly business and the implementation of development programmes within the municipality.

Hon. Isaac Osae Amoah secured an overwhelming endorsement from Assembly Members, polling 30 "Yes" votes out of the 37 ballots cast, while seven members voted "No."

His election fulfils the constitutional requirement for the Assembly to elect a Presiding Member to preside over meetings and provide leadership in the discharge of the Assembly's legislative and oversight responsibilities.

The successful election is expected to strengthen cooperation among Assembly Members and enhance decision-making in support of the municipality's development agenda.

The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly congratulated Hon. Isaac Osae Amoah on his election and expressed confidence in his ability to provide effective leadership, foster unity among Assembly Members and promote collaboration in advancing the socio-economic development of the municipality.

The Assembly also reaffirmed its commitment to working collectively under the leadership of the newly elected Presiding Member to deliver improved services and accelerate development for the people of Akuapim South.
