The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, has admonished Ghanaians to cooperate with government and other appropriate authorities in their implementation of long term development plans to ensure matching forward of the country.

“it is time to move on as a nation, these structure have been there ever since I was a student, I mean when I was in secondary school, it is time for something to be done….but are the people going to allow us as government to move in and build beautiful structures for them to feel that they are Ghanaians” he asked.
The minister further alluded to the fact that drivers were already benefiting from road constructed by government, adding that traders could also benefit from government initiatives should they adhere to new development plans with agitations.
“If drivers are already benefiting from good roads been constructed by government then why shouldn’t our market women also benefit from new structures” he quizzed.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Accra, Mr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuje described the incident as an unfortunate one but added that the fire service personnel, police and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) are busy on grounds to ascertain the cause of the fire.
