The District Chief Executive for the Nanumba North District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Abass has admonished teachers to eschew lackadaisical attitudes like absenteeism, leaving post for further studies without due permission, and other forms of unacceptable behavior that mars the effort in the promotion of quality education.

The District Chief Executive for the Nanumba North District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Abass has admonished teachers to eschew lackadaisical attitudes like absenteeism, leaving post for further studies without due permission, and other forms of unacceptable behavior that mars the effort in the promotion of quality education.

He said provision of infrastructure alone cannot guarantee quality education, unless the system is also anchored with committed teachers who are willing to give off their best and perform at optimum level.

Even though the need to boost infrastructure for quality education was important, for him the teacher factor could not be overlooked, as the system needed selfless and dedicated teachers to assist enhance the standard of education.

Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Abass who spoke to Ghanadistricts.com concerning the massive gains in the educational front said the assembly through the support of government has managed to implement about 60 separate projects just in the education sector. 
 
He said this has been able to resolve the problem of shift system in all the basic schools across-board.   
The infrastructure produced in the system ranges from classroom blocks, dormitories and accommodation for teachers amongst others.
