Introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme is important interventions in ensuring a number of people especially low income earners have access to health delivery in the country.

However, one major constraint that can hinder the achievement of the scheme is lack of health facilities to offer the needed services. It is therefore not surprising that a lot of attention is now going to infrastructure development in the health sector.

In this regard, the Member of Parliament for Tolon, in the Northern Region, Mr. Wahab Suhiyini Wumbei disclosed that a clinic is to be constructed in the Tali Township with funds from the MP’s share of the National Health Insurance Fund.

This has become necessary to bring health delivery closer to the people and to prevent long travels in search of facilities which are compounded by bad road networks and often lead to unnecessary deaths.
