A minimum of 141 development projects had so far been implemented in the Mfantseman municipality by government from 2009 to 2012.

Mr. Henry Kweku Hayfron, MCE for the area noted that the strides made in terms of development was achieved together with the efforts of the Member of Parliament(MP) and the Assembly.

Delivering an address in a recent sitting by the Assembly at Saltpond, the MCE noted that education alone received about 50 infrastructure projects with the Assembly also implementing 43 projects in water and sanitation  .

The rest are 5 in health sector,roads, 23, markets/economic projects,10 whiles ICT and residential accomodation received 10 projects.

He however expressed worry about the inability of the Assembly to generate enough internally generated funds (IGF) to boost the revenue base of the assembly.
