The District Chief Executive for the Mion District Assembly in the Northern Region, Dan Makandan has assured the residents of the area that the NDC government will never fail in its promises to promote sustainable development for people in the district.

He said the government is stepping up efforts to ensure that the Mion district which is a young district will secure solid infrastructure projects that will give impetus to growth and development of the area.

In an address delivered at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly at Sang,Mr Makandan noted that especially on health the government has put up a lot of Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) centre to promote accessibility to primary healthcare delivery.

He said efforts were still ongoing to provide more in the system to meet the health challenges of individuals living in the district.

He therefore called on workers of the Assembly and the Assembly members to collaborate and support the Assembly in mobilizing revenue for developmental projects.
