The South Dayi District Assembly is gradually increasing its momentum to advance good sanitation conditions in all parts of the district with the provision of certain sanitary facilities in some deprived communities.

This is to make sure that the country would not be deluded in its effort in reaching the targets on the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) for sanitation by 2015.

Therefore in consonance with this the South Dayi district Assembly has moved to provide at least 2 no. 10 seater Water Closets(WC’s) facilities for inhabitants of Todome –Kpalime and Kpeve Kpalime both suburbs of the district, Mr Kafui Semenu Bekui, DCE for the area has disclosed.

He reiterated that these facilities provided for the communities has created the opportunity for inhabitants to access sanitary facilities and discouraged the undignified behavior of people defecating in open spaces.

However,the two facilities have duly been accomplished and are currently in use by the people of the area.
