SHAMA:Assembly yearns to improve education
The Shama District Assembly in the Western Region has procured and distributed about 2000 pieces of dual desks to some selected basic schools in a bid to improve education in the area.

The Shama District Assembly in the Western Region has procured and distributed about 2000 pieces of dual desks to some selected basic schools in a bid to improve education in the area.
This follows the ruling National Democratic Congress’ pronouncement to ensure quality and accessible education at the basic level since it was the fundamental level of Ghana’s education system.
Mr. Enoch Kojo Appiah, the District Chief Executive who made this known to Ghanadistricts.com, noted that his outfit was making continuous strive to ensure that education in the district is raised to a preferred standard.
According to him, the assembly has done progressively well in terms of educational infrastructure development in the area, adding that schools such as Aboadze Catholic Primary and Beposo Primary School have all benefited from 6 unit classroom blocks.
He added that similar of such projects have also been completed and currently in use at various parts of the district.
However, in other related developments, Mr.Kojo Appiah further disclosed that his outfit with funding from the District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF) has also renovated the Supomu Dunkwa health center to improve health delivery in the area.
