The Sefwi Wiawso District Assembly has provided funds for the construction of a new Girls’ dormitory block and a 2 storey 2- unit classroom block for students in the Asanwinso Senior High School.

However both projects were close to completion when Ghanadistricts.com visited the school to inspect the extent of work done on the two separate blocks.

It was revealed that classes were been held in the already completed first phase of the block whereas work was still ongoing to complete second phase of the project.

The projects are expected to beef-up the infrastructure deficit that hit the school after the introduction of the 4-year educational policy by the erstwhile Kuffour’s administration.

Chief Executive for the Assembly, Mr. L. A. Santana,  indicated similar projects are been executed in various parts of the district to improve teaching and learning.
