In the quest to ensure environmental sustainability, in addressing sanitation as a requirement amongst the other indicators of the Millennium Development Goal (MDG), the Jaman South District Assembly has provided a 20 seater toilet facility at Atuna and Adamsu respectively.

In the quest to ensure environmental sustainability, in addressing sanitation as a requirement amongst the other indicators of the Millennium Development Goal (MDG), the Jaman South District Assembly has provided a 20 seater toilet facility at Atuna and Adamsu respectively.

It is expected that the basic amenities sited at these two areas would help ease the social lives of residents, as well as enhance the sanitation condition of these environs.

This was highlighted in an address delivered by the District Chief Executive for the Jaman South District Assembly, Julius Atta Bediako at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly.

He reiterated that the Assembly was focused on the development of the area, thus it has executed certain key projects which would inure to the benefits of inhabitants of the district.

He stated that the Assembly has completed the new block for Health Insurance Office at Drobo, and had also secured a new accommodation for Fire Service officers in the area.

On education the DCE said it had constructed a 3 unit classroom block at Gyapekrom to improve on teaching and learning in the area.
