(AKIM ASAMAMA) ATIWA: Methodist Primary School renovated
Members of the Akim Asamama Methodist Church, have renovated the three – unit classroom block for the local Primary School at the cost of GH¢ 150.00 to give it a face-lift.

Members of the Akim Asamama Methodist Church, have renovated the three – unit classroom block for the local Primary School at the cost of GH¢ 150.00 to give it a face-lift.
Briefing Ghana News Agency at Akim Asamama in the Atiwa District, Mr Eric Appiah Nyamekye, the project officer of the church, said the block had been neglected for a long time, “a situation, which is not conducive for teaching and learning”.
He said the Atiwa District Assembly provided 10 packets of roofing sheets and 50 bags of cement towards the renovation exercise with the community providing communal labour.
Mr Nyamekye disclosed that a land had been acquired for the construction of a library for the school.
He said the project had become necessary to arrest the falling standard of education in the town, and also to inculcate the habit of reading among the children to enable them improve upon the English Language.
The Head teacher of the school, Mr Samuel Tabi, called for the formation of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in the school to assist in overcoming some challenges facing it.
