Government is committed to maintaining peace and stability at all times, Madam Victoria Duah, an assembly at Akim Ayirebi in the Akyemansa District has assured.
She observed that it was only in an atmosphere of peace, stability and unity that the country could achieve meaningful progress.
Addressing separate meetings at Akim Ayirebi, Madam Duah appealed to chiefs, colleague assembly members and opinion leaders not to hesitate to expose people whose activities might tend to undermine the peace and stability of the country.
Madam Duah called on eligible voters in the area to verify their names and other details with the Electoral Commission when the voters register was re-opened later this month.
"In this way, the numerical strength of the electoral area would be recognised for basic infrastructure such as motorable roads, safe water and clinic for our communities.
Madam Duah also appealed to the area people to carry out more self-help projects to augment the efforts of Government.
