(NKWANTA PKASSA) NKWANTA: Two siblings drown in river Sabon
Two siblings, aged between 8 and 10 years have drowned in River Sabon at Nkwanta Kpassa in the Nkwanta district.

Two siblings, aged between 8 and 10 years have drowned in River Sabon at Nkwanta Kpassa in the Nkwanta district.
Inspector of Police in-charge of Volta Region Police Public Relations told the Ghana News Agency that the siblings, Godsway and Theodora Tandoh accompanied their mother, Debora Donkor to harvest cassava on their farm.
He said after harvesting the cassava, the mother sent the children to fetch water in the river to wash the cassava but the children fell and got drowned in the river.
Mr. Afagbedzi said a third sibling who accompanied them rushed home and informed their mother.
He said a search party, managed to retrieve the bodies of the deceased, which were later deposited at the Nkwanta Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
