Three teenagers, who planned and succeeded in robbing the Manager of Fraga Oil Filling Station, Mr Timothy Ahulu, of over GHC  5,100,at Nkwanta  have been arrested by the police.

Three teenagers, who planned and succeeded in robbing the Manager of Fraga Oil Filling Station, Mr Timothy Ahulu, of over GHC  5,100,at Nkwanta  have been arrested by the police.
    
The teenagers are; Reagan Adiku, 18, former student of Damanko L/A Junior High School; David Ahortor, 18, self-styled electrician and Yaw Dzandu, 19, unemployed, whose room has been designated as “operational hang-out”, is at large and being sought for by the Police.

    
Mr Douglas Kumah, Nkwanta South District Police Commander, briefing the Ghana News Agency, said the teenagers known in the area as notorious thieves with modus operandi to locate and rob, attacked Mr Ahulu’s house on April 3, this year.

    
He said on that day, the suspects riding on a motor bike came to the filling station with the pretext of buying fuel, whilst
surveying to ascertain whether it was time to strike.

    
Mr Kumah said the group, judging from the busy posture of the complainant (Ahulu) rode to his residence, scaled the fence wall and broke into the rooms.

    
The District Commander said Adiku searched Mr Ahulu’s bedroom while his two accomplices were deployed to spot alarmist.

    
Adiku emerged shortly with GHc 5,100 and Ahortor who was not satisfied with his share of the booty went back and collected an unspecified amount of money, which were sales from the previous day to be transfered to the bank.

    
He said Adiku’s father who could not countenance the sudden change in the physical outlook of his son visited their usual hang-out and spotted a few brand new electrical appliances and suspected the group of thievery.

    
According to Mr Kumah, Adiku was quizzed by his father persistently until he confessed their crime, leading to their arrest.

    
He said Police could only retrieve GHc 1,400 from the suspects as a chunk of the booty was expended on buying Television sets, fans, Video decks and designer dresses.

    
Adiku and Ahortor who are assisting the Police in their investigations would be arraigned before court soon.
