The facility which was funded with District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) Responsive Factor Grant - VI (RFG) and constructed by Taw J Company Limited was begun in June, 2024.
In a short presentation to the headmaster of the school, the District Chief Executive, Hon Gariba Mohammed Mustapha urged them to take good care of the facility in order to serve the purpose for which it was built.
The Odikro of Nyamebekyere, Nana Asamoah thanked the DCE and the Assembly for the facility and also assured that they will ensure that the facility is well maintained.
He, however, appealed to the management of the Assembly that as a matter of urgency, the Assembly constructs a toilet and water facility for the school in order to prevent the pupils from consistently crossing the road to the town for such services.
The Acting District Coordinating Director, Mr. Ebenezer Douglas Ntiamoah stated that the purpose of the gathering was only for the handing over of the facility to the school for usage in order to identify the shortfalls or deficiencies in the building in order for the Assembly to impress on the contractor to correct them before the last payment of the total amount for the contract would be effected.
He therefore added his call for proper maintenance from the users and assured that at the right time the facility would be commissioned amidst pomp and pageantry.
Earlier, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Gariba paid a courtesy call on the Akrofuom Gyasehene, Nana Anin Agyekum II at his residence in Sikaman where Nana Agyekum assured him of his support and blessings to make him succeed as the DCE for Akrofuom.
