Ga East Municipal Assembly Holds Mid-Year Accountability Town Hall Meeting

The Ga East Municipal Assembly convened its inaugural Town Hall Meeting of the year on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Church of Pentecost within the municipality.

This pivotal event served as an accountability session, presenting the Municipality's mid-year performance and validating the needs assessment for the upcoming 2026-2029 Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP).

Addressing a gathering of stakeholders, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Edmund Agboh, passionately urged residents to lend their full support to the new administration.

He emphasized the alignment of the administration's vision with His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama's national agenda for transformation, calling for a collective effort to realize the goals of the 'Reset' agenda.


Municipal Chief Executive Edmund Agboh articulated that the current era is one of 'Reset,' emphasizing the critical need to reflect on past actions and inactions. He stressed that this period calls for the adoption of bold, new strategies to consolidate existing achievements and to diligently chart a new course towards the greater transformation of the Municipality, stressing that an 'all hands-on-deck' approach is vital for the Assembly to make a significant impact.

The MCE highlighted the key priorities for his administration, focusing on critical areas that directly impact the daily lives of all residents.

He added that, for the Ga East Municipality, there's a clear directive to intensify its focus on crucial sectors. This includes bolstering sanitation and environmental stewardship, enhancing roads and drainage systems, and actively promoting local economic growth and employment opportunities. These aren't merely abstract goals; they represent tangible improvements that directly impact the everyday lives and well-being of every individual residing within the municipality.
