According to him, the community’s most urgent needs included the construction of a functional market to boost its local economy and called for the immediate revival and modernisation of the market.

Speaking at the District Disaster Day celebration in Twifo Agona in the Twifo-Atti-Morkwa District, the chief expressed concern about the collapse of the community’s market day, noting that its decline had severely affected local trade and economic activity.

According to him, such an initiative would not only generate employment for the youth and residents but also motivate farmers to increase production, confident that they would have a reliable market for their goods.

He highlighted some other needs to include a football pitch for the youth, and a factory to create sustainable job opportunities to improve the living conditions in his community through the provision of essential social amenities.

Nana Benkyi Awuah underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among government agencies, NGOs, and private individuals to invest in infrastructure and support economic empowerment programmes to help unlock Twifo Agona’s potential to foster growth, resilience, and prosperity for its people.
