According to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Kenneth Kabu Kofi Kanor, the projects form part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to enhancing teaching and learning conditions within communities across the district.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts TV, the DCE explained that many schools in the area currently face infrastructural challenges, including overcrowded classrooms, leaking roofs, inadequate furniture, and poor learning environments that negatively affect academic performance.

He noted that the ongoing construction and renovation works are expected to provide pupils and teachers with safer, more comfortable, and more conducive spaces for academic activities. The Assembly believes that improving school infrastructure will not only boost teaching effectiveness but also encourage higher school enrollment and regular attendance among children in the district.

Mr. Kanor emphasized that education remains one of the key priorities of the Assembly’s development agenda, adding that investing in modern educational facilities is essential to preparing the younger generation for future opportunities and ensuring quality education delivery across both urban and rural communities in Ada East.

The DCE further revealed that the Assembly is not focusing solely on education but is also implementing interventions in other critical sectors of the local economy. These sectors include healthcare, roads, sanitation, agriculture, and social services, all aimed at improving the general living standards of residents.

According to him, the Assembly is committed to ensuring equitable development throughout the district by addressing the pressing needs of various communities.
