MCE Joins Akwasid? Celebrations, Engages Traditional Authorities on Development
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben North, Hon. Samuel Adongo, joined chiefs, elders, and residents in celebrating the Akwasid? festival across various communities in the municipality.

The event formed part of the government’s commitment to bringing local governance closer to the people.
In an address, Hon. Adongo highlighted numerous projects undertaken by the Assembly, as well as ongoing initiatives. He acknowledged the Assembly’s challenges but reaffirmed his dedication to placing the municipality on a strong developmental path.
The MCE assured the public that his door remains open to complaints and suggestions from residents.
He announced that new measures are being implemented to construct an ultra-modern market in New Juaben North to boost trading activities.

Hon. Adongo also mentioned plans to establish a cocoa processing plant and appealed to the traditional authorities for support in securing land for the project.
Additionally, he emphasized the need to improve all internal roads. On the issue of stray animals, the MCE pledged to collaborate with the Municipal Environmental Officer to address the situation.
Traditional authorities from Effiduase, Asokore, Oyoko, Jumapo, and Suhyen expressed their appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for participating in the celebrations.
