PWDs receive support from New Juaben North Municipal Assembly

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has presented items to seven (7) Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

The items included five (5) deep freezers, five (5) ice chest coolers, and two (2) pop corned machines.

Presenting the items, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Samuel Adongo asked the beneficiaries to use the tools and other equipment judiciously for its right purpose so that they would become economically empowered and financially independent.

The MCE explained that this will not only help them contribute their quota to the socio- economic development of their communities but also raise their standard of living.

The New Juaben North Chairman for Ghana Federation of Disability, Mr. Kofi Sarpong Boateng, praised the Government through the Assembly for answered prayers of the PWDs by presenting them with what they requested for. He however urged them to make use of the items to improve their lives.

The Regional Director, Department of Social Welfare, Mr. Isaac Koramoah Asante said monitoring will continue as the work demands to ensure that the equipment and the tools received today is being used properly to encourage Government to do more.

Beneficiaries were from Jumapo, Effiduase, Suhyen, Asokore, and Akwadum, all in the New Juaben North Municipality.

Present was the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi, Municipal Social welfare Officer, Mr. Patrick Opong, Information Officer, Benjamin Obeng Asiedu and Chairman for social welfare Committee, Mr. Mohammed Harunna Fuseini.
