The development is being spearheaded under the leadership of the Adaklu District Chief Executive, Jerry Yao Ameko, who has prioritised the completion of stalled projects to ensure that public investments translate into meaningful benefits for residents.

Among the projects that have seen a return to site are a three-classroom block at Adaklu Ablornu Junior High School (JHS) and a health centre at Adaklu Kpetsu.

The three-classroom block at Adaklu Ablornu JHS is expected to provide pupils and teachers with a more conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

Similarly, the completion of the health centre at Adaklu Kpetsu will improve access to basic healthcare services for residents of the community and surrounding areas.

The resumption of work comes as a relief to residents who have been waiting for the completion of the projects, which are considered essential to addressing infrastructure gaps in the district.

Jerry Yao Ameko, Adaklu District Chief Executive, has reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that abandoned and uncompleted projects are revived and completed to serve their intended purposes.

He stressed the importance of prudent management of public resources and the need to ensure that development projects undertaken in the district are completed to the required standards and within reasonable timelines.

The Assembly is expected to continue monitoring the projects and engaging contractors to ensure that construction progresses steadily towards completion.

The renewed focus on abandoned projects is expected to strengthen social infrastructure and contribute to improved education, healthcare and socio-economic development across the Adaklu District.
