The DCE made the call in March 2026 while highlighting the need for residents to work together with the District Assembly and other stakeholders to address the development needs of their communities.

According to Jerry Yao Ameko, sustainable development cannot be achieved through the efforts of government and the Assembly alone, stressing the importance of active participation by residents in the development process.

He encouraged the people of Adaklu to believe in their abilities, support local initiatives and contribute positively towards improving conditions in their communities.

The DCE also highlighted ongoing investments in key sectors of the district, including education, agriculture, roads, water, sanitation and healthcare.

He said the Assembly was committed to ensuring that development interventions were strategically implemented to address the most pressing needs of residents and improve their quality of life.

In education, he emphasised the importance of providing adequate infrastructure and creating conducive learning environments for children across the district.

He also noted that investments in agriculture remained crucial to improving livelihoods, creating employment opportunities and strengthening the local economy.

On infrastructure and basic services, the DCE said efforts were being made to improve roads, expand access to potable water, strengthen sanitation and enhance healthcare delivery.

Jerry Yao Ameko urged residents, traditional authorities, community leaders, youth groups and other stakeholders to work closely with the Assembly to protect development projects and ensure that they deliver lasting benefits.

He stressed that the collective efforts of residents, coupled with responsible leadership and effective use of resources, would help position Adaklu on a stronger path of sustainable development.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working with communities to implement projects and programmes that would improve living standards and create opportunities for the people of Adaklu.
