Assembly cuts sod for project
The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South, Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye has cut the sod for the commencement of Four (4) different developmental projects in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

He included Six-unit classroom block for Zion Primary school in Apimpoa, 3-unit classroom for police primary school in Galloway, drilling of 18 boreholes within some selected electoral area and the construction of an ultra-modern CHPS compound in Agavenya in the Municipality.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive stressed that his appointment is a call to meaningful action rather than just symbolic. Stating “I am committed to do my master’s Will”.
He emphasized that the objective of the project is to improve health and educational systems in the Municipality and as city managers, we are poised to promote good healthcare and continues educational systems for the citizens. He reechoed that the government under His Excellency, President Mahama is doing everything possible to change the narratives.
According to him, two or three new school buildings are already under construction and promised residents that by the end of 2026, there will be tangible and visionary improvement in a number of sectors. Building a six-classroom block for Zion Primary B school in Apimpoa is one of the major projects.
Plans are also advanced to drill 18 boreholes around the Municipality to enhance access to clean water in poor communities.
Additionally, Hon. Ransford Boakye urged his fellow Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to continue to be consistent in achieving their development goals.
He further added that all MMDCEs have been instructed by President Mahama to make sure that at least one important development project in their districts is accomplished by December of this year. Hon. Ransford, expressed his belief that every Assembly is making every effort to carry out this national mandate.
He further encouraged community members, development partners and stakeholders to keep supporting the Assembly’s program, especially those relating to youth empowerment, clean water, healthcare and education. He stated, ‘we can make New Juaben South a model Municipality and bring fort long-lasting improvements in the lives of our residents with your help’.
