Kyeremim Assembly man organizes clean-up exercise

The Assemblyman for Kyeremim 2 electoral area Mr. Nuhu Ayala, in collaboration with Birim Central Municipal health directorate and Zoomlion Ghana, has organized a clean-up exercise to mark World Malaria Day.

According to the Assemblyman, the cleanup exercise was aimed at advocating for a clean and healthy environment.

The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah addressing the gathering said, clean environment plays a key role in the health of all people, adding that if the people change their attitude towards littering the streets with rubbish and dumping refuse in gutters, it will have a great impact on our environment.

Mr. Samuel Owusu, who is the malaria coordinator for Birim Central Municipal, urged inhabitants to protect themselves from malaria by using bed net, among others.
