The Presiding Member of the South Tongu District Assembly, Mr. John Sedo Agbemabiese has strongly condemned the spirit of division crippling into members which has the tendency of drawing their developmental efforts back.

The PM who made reference to certain negative publications about the district and said they should be working together to attain municipal status like those other districts they started with which have all now been upgraded  to municipality like Kpando, Ketu South, and Hohoe Municipalities.

He said the current crop of leaders have no excuse if they failed to move the South Tongu  beyond the district level, adding that the district has all it takes to be upgraded but this will only materialize if they stand and work as  a team with common goal.

He advised members to act as true stakeholders and ask questions if they are troubled by any development for explanation rather than running to the media.

Mr. Agbemabiese noted that such publications have repercussions for the district, and thus reminded members to seek the good of the district and not their individual benefits.
