The Juaso District Hospital has taken delivery of assorted medical equipment costing about half-of-a-million cedis to improve the quality of healthcare services.

These included ultrasound and anaesthesia machines, extra vaporizer, hydraulic operation table, fetal heart detector, hospital beds and table top autoclave.

They were supplied by the Health Ministry under the national equipment replacement programme.

Mr De-graft Fokuo, the District Chief Executive, said the government would go to every length to assure the people of access to improved healthcare and would continue to equip the facilities with the needed tools and equipment to perform.

He said the expectation was that the health workers would uphold high standards of professionalism, to have empathy and work with passion to bring relief and comfort to the sick.

Dr Eugene Aboagye, the Medical Superintendent, said the medical supplies could not have come at a better time and that these would help to significantly raise the quality of service delivery.

It would undoubtedly reduce the number of case referrals to other facilities since the conditions had changed.

Mr. Danso Yeboah, the District Director of Health Services, said more needed to be done to support health facilities, especially, in the rural communities.
