U MANYA K: Asuomanya JHS gets new classroom block

A GH¢150,000.00 six-unit classroom block built for the Asuomanya Junior High School (JHS) in the Upper Manya Krobo District has been inaugurated.
The school block comes with a library, teachers’ common room and washrooms, and funded from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund).
Mr. Joseph Tetteh Angmor, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said the project was a demonstration of the government’s determination to provide the needed infrastructure to enhance access to quality education.
He said they would ensure that the right conditions are created for effective teaching and learning in schools.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, Hon Angmor announced plans by the assembly to construct teachers’ residential accommodation to help entice more qualified teachers to the rural communities to improve academic performance of students in the district.
Hon. Joseph Tetteh Angmor urged all stakeholders to work together to improve the academic performance of the schools.
He also said that the Director of Education lauded the government for the project and said it would provide space for enrolment of more students and asked the community to ensure that it was properly maintained.
