YENDI:Baptist Church to assist push boreholes in localities
The Ghana Baptist Church is making frantic efforts to intervene in areas of sanitation and education as it would soon embark on borehole drilling to assist create accessibility to potable water in the local areas.

The Ghana Baptist Church is making frantic efforts to intervene in areas of sanitation and education as it would soon embark on borehole drilling to assist create accessibility to potable water in the local areas.
This is to assist government’s efforts and programmes geared towards ending the woes of the local folks regarding accessibility to potable water, as well as helping to minimise the incidents of water borne diseases endemic in the deprived settings.
Reverend Emmanuel Mustapha, the Pastor in-charge of the North-Eastern Baptist Church, said this when the Ghana Baptist Convention, in collaboration with the Baptist Convention in Geneva distributed some considerable number of mosquito bed nets to 486 localities in the Yendi municipality.
The two-year programme, dubbed “more than net”, would distribute 100,000 bed nets to households using 200 monitors who will educate and sensitize the people on the need to use the nets and assist in hanging the bed nets.
The project would however be monitored after the distribution to ensure its continuity so it could be effectively assesed of its whole impact on the people.
