A teacher of the Agona Kwanyako Roman Catholic Junior High School, Mr Virtus Zack, had to lose his life in the most bizzare and uncanny way when armed robbers pounced on him, shooting and killing him in his house at Agona Kwanyako in the Central Region.

The Agona Swedru Police said Mr Zack died on arrival at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital. 

The police said neighbours rushed the teacher to the hospital soon after the attack but was pronounced dead on arrival.   

The robbers had earlier attacked Rev. Ben Frimpong of the Assemblies of God Church and his family and made away items including DVD, a computer and its accessories, wedding rings and clothing.   

The police said the robbers locked the pastor, his wife and two children in a room before leaving to attack the teacher. 

The Agona Swedru District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police Philip Alleawobu told Newsmen that the Police Patrol Team received a distress call from Kwanyako but the robbers had left before they got there.
