(TEPA-ABOTOASE) BIAKOYE: Zoomlion fulfils promise to disaster victims
Thousand out of ten thousand life jackets promised the Transport Ministry by Zoomlion a waste management company and its subsidiary ZOIL Ghana Limited, have been presented to the Ministry with ten motor bikes and ten bicycles.

Thousand out of ten thousand life jackets promised the Transport Ministry by Zoomlion a waste management company and its subsidiary ZOIL Ghana Limited, have been presented to the Ministry with ten motor bikes and ten bicycles.
The donation is in response to the recent boat disaster that occured on the Volta Lake claiming so many lives including school children.
The items are therefore to be used to promote safety on the Volta Lake.
They also presented a cash donation of GHC 5,000 and 50 bags of rice to the survivors of the recent boat accident at Wusuta and to the families of those who perished.
Presenting the items, Mr Oscar Provencal, Public Relations Officer of Zoomlion/Zoil said the company’s services was not only towards ensuring environmental sanitation along the Volta Lake, but to help improve safe travelling conditions on the country’s inland waterways.
"Our firm belief is that a lasting solution would be found to reduce the perennial occurrence of accidents on the Volta Lake," he said.
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Mrs Dzifa Aku Attivor, who received the items on behalf of its agencies, the Ghana Maritime Authority and Volta Lake Transport Company thanked the benefactors for their generosity, pledging that the items would be used for the purpose for which it was donated.
Togbe Adom VII, Kyidomhene of Wusuta commended Zoomlion/Zoil for their generosity towards the surviving victims and the families of those who perished in that accident, and assured that the distribution of the goods would be done equitably.
