Persistent concerns by human rights activists and the police administration on instant justice seem to have fallen on deaf ears and one of such acts meted out to a fisherman, Adadakua Tigawoti in the Kassena Nankana district has led to the amputation of two of his limbs and some fingers.

The perpetrators of the crime Ayuu Atwutigen 26 and George Vayirani Adda, 58 were reported to have inflicted wounds on their victim with a razor blade and left him to his fate in a bush in Gia, a suburb of Navrongo on May 19, this year for allegedly stealing a fowl.

Adabukua was left in a  bush all alone after his attackers realised he could no longer walk.

The most affected part of the victim’s body with the razor blade wounds were his knees and shins.

According to the accusers, their action was a substitute for the fowl the accused allegedly stole and had to pay for.

This has left Adabakua disable and he can no longer walk or use his hands effectively, because some fingers have also been cut off due to infection caused by the blade wounds.

The accused persons and their victim have been appearing before the court since May 2009 in search of justice with the latest being September 18, 2009.

The family of the victim is therefore pleading for justice from the Bolgatanga Circuit Court against the accused persons.
